Sophie Stonis, M.S., CF-SLP
Sophie Stonis earned her Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from the University
of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2021. Following graduation, she worked as a therapy technician with
autistic preschoolers, an experience that sparked her passion for Speech-Language Pathology.
Inspired by her collaboration with speech therapists and her dedication to helping others
communicate, Sophie pursued a career in the field.
In 2024, Sophie earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Emerson
College. She is now a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow and is actively
working toward her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-
Hearing Association (ASHA).
Sophie’s clinical experience spans diverse settings, including schools, inpatient rehabilitation,
and private practices, where she has evaluated and treated individuals across the lifespan. Her
expertise includes working with clients with expressive and receptive language disorders,
articulation disorders, autism, Down syndrome, pediatric feeding disorders, cognitive-
communication disorders, aphasia, dysphagia, and fluency disorders. Additionally, Sophie is
skilled in implementing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices to promote
a total communication approach tailored to each client’s needs.
With a strong commitment to family-centered care and neurodiversity-affirming practices,
Sophie strives to make meaningful and lasting impacts on her clients and their families.
